Nitrogen Bearing Ferrochrome
Ferrochromium nitride is widely used for smelting nitrogen-containing steel in electric furnaces and oxygen converters. Nitrogen is an austenite forming element. It is added as a component to chromium manganese and chromium manganese nickel stainless steel to replace the shortage of nickel.
APPLICATION
- It is widely used in smelting production of special steels such as stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, corrosion-resistant steel, alloy steel, etc. Nitrogen expands the austenite zone by about 30 times that of nickel, and can partially replace the precious metal nickel to reduce production costs.
